About the project

The project include two networks: the first to assemble and pump sewage humanity and the second to assemble and pump sewage rain then the sewage humanity pumped through primary and secondary pumping station to the site of the treatment plant to be treated according to the physical, biological and chemical methods to produce water in conformity with the environmental requirement and the rain water pumped directly to the river.

The total cost of the project is more than 93,800,000,000 Iraqi Dinar. The project serve present population of more than 60,000 capita and the project total capacity can cover more than 100,000 capita for future population growth.

Sanitary sewer system include two levels:
A- collect sanitary sewage through networks of diameter starting from 200mm to 900mm and reinforce concrete manholes of depth starting from 1.2M to 9M below ground water table with house and building connections of diameter 110-160mm with all needed dewatering works to reduce water table below level of excavation then collected water pumped through main and secondary pumping stations. Submersible pumping station for secondary and horizontal type with wet well and dry well for main pumping station. The job include supplying install and operate mechanical and manual screen, odor removal system, pumping set, ductile iron pipe and fittings and electrical works which include pump MCC, distribution boards, transformers and generators. Waste water pumped through 600mm ductile pipe.

B- waste water treatment plant which include physical, chemical and biological process starting from inlet works, mechanical and manual screen, grit and oil removal, aeration tank with mechanical mixing system, setting tank, settled water chlorination by chlorine injection then treated water discharge to open drainage residual sludge collected and treated in sludge holding tank and sludge drying bed. The job include of large quantities of reinforced concrete dewatering and excavations, mechanical works for inlet works, aerators for aeration tanks, pumping sets for sludge pumping stations and final effluent pumping station, scraper for setting tanks, chlorination system and electrical works which include MCC for treatment plant equipment’s and pumps, transformers, generator’s and cable routs etc.
